Julius Caesar Warm-Up

Julius Caesar proclaims, “It seems to me most strange that men should fear, / seeing that death a necessary end,/ will come when it will come” (2.2.237-39

What does Caesar Mean? In your WordPress blog (remember that?), discuss whether or not you agree and why. If time, read your classmates’ blogs and reply.

Caesar means that death is inevitable and will come. But he also says it as if it is a set moment in time. He most likely believes in fate, and that events will happen at a  certain moment. I have to disagree with this statement because I think that fate is nonsense and that people fear so that there life will live longer. Nothing really wants to die, so that when you worry you might be able to live longer because you will avoid the dangerous things in life. It isn’t strange to see someone worry about death, because they are the ones that will probably live longer then you. So no, I do not agree with Caesar because we should fear that we can die.
